What’s new with Personio: product updates to let HR teams focus on driving impact
Personio’s all-in-one HR system is designed, built, and supported by experts who are deeply familiar with European HR standards of excellence and have helped organizations transform their people processes for years.
Personio’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, Maria Angelidou-Smith, takes you through the latest platform updates and how they help HR teams focus on driving impact for their organization.
At Personio, we believe people are the single most important part of your business. That’s why, since our founding in 2015, we have been committed to helping our 12,000+ customers solve complex challenges to enable them to focus on delivering impact.
The updates we’re announcing center on three categories which are key focus areas in the HR industry right now:
Data-driven insights
Centralization of data and workflows
Customization of the employee lifecycle
Let’s take a closer look.
Data-driven insights
Understanding the state of your workforce in real-time
With People Analytics, we’re making it easy for everyone, regardless of their level of data literacy, to use data and drive a proactive people strategy. With our platform, HR teams can create action plans that move the needle on business results, influence C-level decisions, and shift their organizations towards a data-driven culture.
We’re passionate about helping our customers deliver against this goal. Our new flexible report builder now makes it easy for anyone to effortlessly generate visually stunning reports that effectively communicate the current state of your workforce. Additionally, ready-to-use customizable templates help HR departments get reports set up in just a few clicks, which are kept up to date without the need to repeat the process each time.
Centralizing your data and workflows
Establishing a strong foundation for an adaptable, scalable organization
Released this quarter, Job Architecture in Personio creates structured role frameworks, helping reduce workload by simplifying hiring, promotions, and compensation. Often a lack of standardized frameworks and no guidance or consistency in job family, names, levels, tracks or salary bands can make analysis and hiring decisions feel unfair and out of balance. This is something we wanted to change. Job Architecture solves this with the ability to develop a job catalog, set by office or globally, and ensures you can create as many tracks and levels as required within your organization.
Job Architecture not only unlocks a shared understanding of the roles within your system, it also enables Position Management, which covers the foundational activities for emerging headcount planning. Together, Job Architecture and Position Management establish a sturdy foundation for flexible, efficient organizations. Connection to Recruiting and inclusion into Org Chart automatically create recruiting requisitions based on position plan and visualize open positions within a filtered view of the org chart.
Standardizing common business processes with Workflow Automation
Let’s face it. No one wants to deal with the admin overload of manually running hundreds of business procedures across siloed systems and teams. That’s why we have announced new features in Workflow Automation that enable HR teams to create best-in-class business processes that are repeatable, scalable and less prone to error. New features in Workflow Automation now let you design custom workflows that suit your business needs with a new workflow builder and keep track of these with a monitoring dashboard, both available now. A redesigned inbox feature, which spotlights critical tasks to enable quick decision making, is coming soon.
Updates to our Mobile App
Our refreshed Mobile App was released recently for iOS and will be available in mid September for Android. We’re introducing flexible HR management features that enhance efficiency and accessibility, allowing employees to manage attendance, request absences, and view team schedules seamlessly from their mobile devices. We can’t wait to bring this update to our customers, and hope you’ll love it as much as we do.
Customization of the employee lifecycle
Streamlining the application and recruitment process
We recently announced early access to our Workforce Planning beta. We are introducing the ability to create a headcount planning cycle event and sync approved positions in addition to support for budgeting and calculation of personnel costs.
Expanding on the topic of talent management, our latest updates to the Personio Recruiting app help you focus more on the people you’re trying to hire and less on the hiring process. This includes Candidate Experience & Productivity tools which helps you attract the right talent from the get-go and a new Automated Screening feature which automatically screens out candidates who don’t meet your requirements. New Reporting & Insights also enables HR and Talent Acquisition teams to track metrics like time-to-hire and offer acceptance rates. Taken together, these updates help you at every stage of the recruiting process and give teams more time to focus on driving impact.
Performance reviews and processes that match your unique culture
We heard from so many of our customers that running performance reviews is stressful. With our new Performance & Development performance cycle experience, managers can see all review milestones in one convenient timeline, add review activities as needed and choose participants with a suite of filter options.
The part we love most and already have good customer feedback on is dynamic participant updates, which ensures the impact of mid-cycle changes, such as an employee getting a new manager, are mitigated. When changes happen, relevant information is surfaced to the HR manager, allowing them to quickly respond and avoid any bottlenecks.
Our commitment to unlocking the full potential of your people never stops. We can’t wait to see how you’ll use these new features and look forward to hearing your feedback. We will always be deeply grateful to our 1,000,000+ users for providing us with the feedback we needed to evolve our platform into a more modern, powerful HR system, built for the changing way we work.
