The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio
The position is mainly office-based in Munich.
At Personio, we are transforming the way small and medium-sized businesses manage their HR and Payroll processes. As an Expansion Sales Development Representative, you will play a critical role in driving Personio’s growth within our existing customer base. Your mission in this recently founded team is to proactively engage with current SMB customers to identify cross-sell opportunities for our Payroll solutions, contributing to increased customer value and Personio’s long-term success as an all-in-one HRM platform.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
#IgnitePositiveMomentum: You are a confident and effective communicator with a natural ability to build relationships - you can approach customers and identify key decision makers quickly.
#ExceedCustomerExpectations: You take on the role of a trusted advisor, collaborating with the Account Managers and Payroll Sales Managers (alt: internal stakeholders) on a large portfolio of existing German SMB customers to identify their challenges and new needs related to Payroll solutions. You educate customers on the value and benefits of Personio’s Payroll solution through tailored, customer-specific relevant messaging and providing initial ideas for optimizing their HR processes. Your communication will mainly be outbound driven.
#DeliverExceptionalResults: You are hands-on and proactive! You will research and identify customers with a high likelihood to buy and their relevant stakeholders, approach them and generate outbound cross-sell opportunities. After successful qualification of the customer case, you handover the opportunity to our Payroll Specialist Managers who are in charge of deal-closing.
#ElevateOneAnother: You enjoy being part of a motivated and ambitious team, working closely with your Sales Development, Account Manager and Payroll Solution Specialist colleagues to achieve shared goals and exchange best practices.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
Ideally, you have already gained some practical experience in a customer facing role (working student/internship or full-time), e.g. in sales, event management, hotel industry, retail, etc
Strong communication skills, written and spoken, in German and English with the ability to build trust and establish lasting relationships with customers.
A customer-first mindset with the ability to understand and address customer needs while identifying cross-sell opportunities.
Interest in Payroll solutions and a keen curiosity for products and technical topics, enabling you to understand and explain our SaaS platform’s benefits effectively.
Goal-oriented and self-motivated, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A proactive and curious approach, always seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.
