Pricing

What is per employee per month pricing? Why did you move to it?

Instead of our previous pricing model where you would pay for a range of employee seats, you now pay for the employees you expect to have. This makes it easier and much more efficient to add new employees and manage licences. Your total price will be your per-employee-per-month price x # of employees, minus any discounts. These prices are calculated based on the type of Personio Core product purchased, Apps, and billing cadence. For more information on your new price, review your subscription notice email.

Why did my list price increase?

We have invested heavily in building requested new features to provide more value to our customers, and we are confident that the return on these investments will offset this price increase. Additionally, our costs have increased due to increased staffing costs, as well as that we are unable to decrease costs elsewhere in our business to accommodate this overall increase in operating costs.

Contracting

Why are you moving to annual contracts?

Our contracts have been annual for some time, and we are now standardising this for all customers. You still have the option to be invoiced on a monthly, quarterly, or 6-month basis. If you would like to object to annual contracts, please fill out the form in your subscription notice email.

How do I change from monthly to annual billing, or vice versa?

To provide you with the most flexibility we are adjusting our billing frequencies. To get the best price we recommend paying annually, but if you wish to pay every month, quarter or bi-annual you can do so by contacting your Growth Manager.

If I’m on an annual contract, can I still pay monthly? Is one better than the other?

Yes, you can continue to pay monthly. However, we recommend paying annually for the best prices.

Why are your general terms and conditions changing?

We have updated our general terms and conditions to reflect our offering to our clients.

Objections

What am I able to object to?

Based on your existing subscription, you will be able to object to any of the following:

  • Moving to our new PEPM price model

  • Increase in your list price (price before any discounts) - if applicable

  • Moving to an annual contract - if applicable

  • Changes to our General Terms and Conditions

How do I object to these changes?

You will have two weeks from when you receive your subscription notice to object to your new subscription. Objections can be submitted via the link in the subscription change notice email you received.

What happens if I object?

We will always do what we can to be flexible, but if we are unable to resolve your objections, this may result in your subscription coming to an end.

Logistics

When does my subscription change?

Your changes will come into effect on the renewal date specified in your subscription update email.

How many users am I paying for?

Your employee allowance (the maximum number of employees you can have in the product) will remain at the same level as your current subscription. Going forward this allowance will also include any onboarding and on-leave employees as well. Refer to your subscription change notice email for an overview of the number of employee licences you are contracted for.

How do I upgrade my subscription?

You can increase your number of users or purchase additional apps at any time.  If you want to do this before your subscription changes take place at your contract renewal, you can request this via the link in your subscription change notice email or via the subscription section in your Personio product.

After your renewal is complete, any mid-contract changes will be invoiced the following month with a charge to cover the changes for the rest of your remaining contract.

How do I decrease my number of users?

You can request reductions in employee allowance any time outside your subscription notice period but will not be implemented until your next contract renewal.  If you want to do this before your subscription changes take place at your contract renewal, you can request this via the link in your subscription change notice email or via the subscription section in your Personio product. Please note, your employee allowance includes onboarding and on-leave employees. We therefore recommend including a 15% buffer in your employee allowance to support any future expansion in employee count. Downgrades in your subscription may result in the reduction or removal of any discounts on your subscription, depending on the changes made.

What do I need to do?

If you are content with the changes, no action is needed on your end! Your subscription will automatically be updated at your renewal date.
